My personal Twitter Archive

The older ones maybe remember: there once was a social network called "Twitter" with a blue bird as logo.

I really liked it. I learned to know nice people and could keep in touch with friends from other cities or even other countries. One could even use it to get additional information about top news or get in contact with your country's politicians.

But some time ago, an egocentric right wing billionaire bought it and killed it. At least he killed the brand and the name and turned it into a network full of misinformation and right wing propaganda. - I did not want to support him and the social network with new content. So I set my profile to "hidden" that my tweets are not longer publicly available and I decided to host my content by myself.

The awesome tool tweetback allowed my to turn my Twitter archive from into a website. It is not super easy, but for anyone with a little bit of technical experience, it is in fact easy enough to do it.

So, I now proudly present: My personal Twitter Archive - tweets.koehnlein.dev 🥳

Tweetback even generated some interesting statistics at the bottom of the page. You can see, that I was pretty inactive in the last couple of month. But there are also some nice facts, e.g. this one:

Top 5 Emoji Used in Tweets

  1. 😉 used 710 times on 710 tweets
  2. 😄 used 525 times on 525 tweets
  3. 🤔 used 474 times on 473 tweets
  4. 😂 used 456 times on 456 tweets
  5. 🙄 used 370 times on 369 tweets

To be honest, I would have expected 🙄 to be in a higher position. And 😱 is not even in the high score ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
